Vietnam, a country made famous by war. Fiercely protective of their independence and sovereignty, the Vietnamese are also graciously welcoming to foreigners. It has a unique and rich civilisation, highly cultured and spectacular scenery. Going to Vietnam I had my senses thrilled by all it’s sights, sounds, tastes and smells. After visiting the war museums and talking to the people, there is no doubt the American War continues to weigh heavily on the consciousness of all who can remember the fighting, the Vietnam of today is a country at peace.
